Michael Kerley joined the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors on August 1, 1969.  Since that time, he has been engaged in all aspects of NAIFA's Law and Government Relations Departments, with special emphasis on NAIFA's federal legislative lobbying program, political activity and legal services.  In 1995, he was named a NAIFA Senior Vice President.

Mike attended Sienna College and later received a B.A. degree from the University of Maryland.  He graduated from Baltimore Law School in 1968 with a Juris Doctor degree.  Mike is a member of the Maryland Bar.

Michael Meade has been and industry consultant since 1996.  His background includes extensive experience in assisting companies in attracting and developing distribution.  Meade Marketing has performed several searches and acquisitions to contribute to the growth of organizations in both the insurance industry and banking industry. His searches include career agencies, PPGA, BGA and working with brokerage channels.  He has also helped in attracting distribution candidates to the banking industry.

Before opening his own firm, Michael was a Senior Field Development Officer for Minnesota Mutual(now Securian) in St. Paul, Minnesota.  His responsibilities were to attract new career agency and supervise existing agencies.  He joined Minnesota Mutual in 1982.  Prior to his years at Minnesota Mutual, Michael spent 10 years with Reserve Life Insurance Company.  He was an agent, trainer, and Agency Manager in Minnesota. Michael has been involved in GAMA, AMTC, LUTC and several industry meetings.

Michael was an all-state  hockey player and played on back to back Minnesota State Championship teams in high school.  He entered the military and served in Vietnam.  He coached hockey at many different levels.  Michael resides in Simi Valley, California.  He has a degree in Accounting and Business Administration from the Duluth Business University.  Michael is an avid outdoorsman and performs with an Oldies Rock’n Roll band in the summers in the Midwest.
